Deep Fried Chicken

by House-Autry
(Four Oaks, North Carolina)

Ingredients

* 1 package House-Autry Seasoned Chicken Fry
* 3 pounds chicken
* 1/2 cup water

Directions

Preheat oil to 375°F. Make batter by mixing 5 tbsp of House-Autry Seasoned Chicken Fry and 1/2 cup water. Dip chicken in batter. Roll chicken in remaining dry House-Autry Seasoned Chicken Fry until coated. Deep fry 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Servings: 10
Prep Time: 10 min.
Cook Time: 20 min.

Tip:

I think the best fried chicken is cooked in a cast-iron skillet. Don't overcrowd it!. Your oil will drop in temperature and it will cause your chicken to come out greasy instead of crispy.
