So my husband has been craving some good old fashion biscuits and gravy... I googled a recipe found yours and surprised him after a long night at work. He was soooooooo happy! We had spicy (hot) Kroger brand sausage.. and added a bit more pepper to the gravy because we like spicy. Didn't have buttermilk but 2% and also we had to use baking powder since we didn't have self rising flour. Still turned out awesome... I am sure the biscuits by themselves without the gravy would taste better if I used butter milk though. Mom suggested I dip biscuits in melted butter for flavor... next time. Thanks again!!! Best biscuits and gravy combo I have ever had!!!
