Outback Bread

Here's a great recipe for Outback Bread...just like you get in a steakhouse!

The cocoa and the instant coffee add real flavor to this wonderful recipe. The first time I tried this recipe, I couldn't believe how much it tasted like the bread you get at a "certain" steakhouse.

Here's what you'll need:

1 1/2 cup warm water, 100-110 degrees F.
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup honey
2 cups bread flour
2 cups wheat flour
1 tablespoon cocoa
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons instant coffee
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
3 tablespoons cornmeal

Here's what you need to do:

Bread Machine Directions:

Put the water, butter and honey in the bread machine.

Add the bread flour, wheat flour, cocoa, sugar, instant coffee, salt and yeast. Turn the machine on the dough cycle. When it's done, let it rise for one hour.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface.

Punch down and divide into 8 equal pieces.

Working with one piece at a time, roll into a log.

Fold the ends under.

Squeeze into a loaf.

Dust the top and bottom of each loaf with cornmeal and place on two baking sheets, 4 loaves on each sheet.

Cover and let rise in a warm place for one hour.

Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 to 25 minutes.

This is a great brown bread recipe that I'm sure you'll whole family will enjoy!
