Red Velvet

Hey Mama,
I used your Red Velvet Cake recipe and made cupcakes with it but they didn't turn red they went brown and I'm not sure why and I don't know what to try next, please help...?

Hey there Sian!

It takes a lot of red food coloring to make it red. I use an entire 1 ounce bottle.
