Homemade Velveeta Cheese Recipe

Here's a homemade Velveeta cheese recipe without that long list of difficult to pronounce ingredients.

If you're like me, I love Velveeta cheese and enjoy using it in lots of recipes. For those of you who can't get Velveeta where you live or would like a more healthy alternative, here's a great way to make your own!

Here's what you are going to need:

1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup almost boiling water
3 tablespoons of instant dry milk
1/2 tsp. unflavored gelatin

Here's what you need to do:

Spray an 8x4x2 loaf pan and line it with plastic wrap, enough to also cover the top of the pan when filled. Set aside.

To a blender, add the hot water, instant milk, and gelatin. Mix until the gelatin has dissolved. Next, add the grated Cheddar cheese and blend until it is a liquid.

Pour into the prepared loaf pan. Cover with the plastic wrap and chill overnight before you take it out of the mold.
