I am looking for a recipe for Cornbread cake. All the ones I find online are essentially a cornbread recipe with a little sugar added , or one with no corn meal at all , but ground pecans to make the texture of cornbread. Neither is correct, this is actually a cake and it did have corn meal. My granny used to make it . Would love to have the recipe .
Thank you, Elizabeth

Hey there Elzabeth!
I've been searching and searching trying to find the recipe for you. I'm hoping that this is what you are looking for.
Corn Bread Cake
200 gr of butter
1 cup of sugar
2-3 eggs
1 cup of cornmeal
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of baking powder
In a medium bowl, cram together the butter and the sugar.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add the corn meal, flour, milk and the baking powder. Mix well.
Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish and dust with flour. Pour the cake into the prepared pan and bake in a preheated 350° F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or so until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
ENJOY!
