For Father's Day I really wanted to impress my dad with something delicious for breakfast. I also wanted to try something that I had never made before. Biscuits and gravy are one of my favorite meals so I looked up some recipes and found this one. I made Biscuits and Gravy this morning for Father's Day and to say the least my Dad was very happy, and full. The biscuits were flavorful and complimented the gravy perfectly. The gravy was really good as well. I used bacon drippings and I think that it is probably the more superior shortening option, in terms of flavor. I am glad to have this dish under my belt so I can make it for friends and family. I am sure that my friends and family will be glad too.

This recipe came to me one afternoon while my little ones were napping. I opened the pantry door and stood there brainstorming. Looking over my shelves
