Treat your family to something special for dinner! Here's a recipe for green beans that everyone is going to love, even those picky eaters! Don't know how to cook green beans? Not a problem! These green beans are so easy to make, you may never go back to that stuff in the can again!

green beans

Here's all you'll need:

2 pounds of fresh green beans
6 slices of bacon, cut into small pieces
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 cup of water
salt and pepper to taste

Clean and remove the ends from your green beans (as well as any strings). Set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Add the brown sugar, green beans and water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer cvered about 15 minutes or so until the beans are tender but still crisp. Add salt and pepper to taste (the amount of salt you will need depends upon how salty your bacon is). Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon. That's it!

I hope you enjoy this green beans recipe!
