How To Grill Chicken

Mama is gonna show you how to grill chicken that is moist and tender! This grilled chicken recipe is so simple but oh so tasty!

Italian Dressing is great for all kinds of meats...not just chicken. It makes an excellent marinade for steak as well. I like to keep a big bottle of it on hand for last minute dinner ideas.

chicken on the grill

Here's what you are going to need:

1 Whole chicken
1/4 to 1/2 cup of Italian Salad Dressing
Salt and Pepper to taste

Here's what you need to do:

Fire up the grill!

If you are using a charcoal grill, you will need to move all of the coals to one side...the side you are NOT going to cook on.

If you have a gas grill, light only one side of the grill...again, the side you are NOT going to cook on and turn the burner to medium.

Cover half of the grill with tin foil (this will be the side that you will use to cook your chicken on the grill, the side NOT over the direct heat).

Take your chicken out of the package and rinse it off well. Dry with paper towels.

With a sharp knife, cut down the center of the chicken breast on one side or the other of the breast bone.

Lay the chicken open like a book and smear the inside and outside of the chicken well with the salad dressing. Sprinkle the inside and outside with salt and pepper.

Place the chicken on the grill bone side down on top of the tin foil. Close the lid and check it to see if it's done using the guide on the cooking chicken page after about an hour.

That's It! Your gonna love this recipe for grilled chicken!
