Recipe For Baked Ham

Everyone loves a good crust and Mama's recipe for baked ham has a crust that will have folks fighting for the "crustiest" piece!

My family absolutely LOVES this ham and I'm sure your family will too! The gingersnap cookies are the secret ingredient that adds that special something that people just can't figure out.

Easter Ham

Here's what you are going to need:

1 fully cooked spiral sliced ham
1/4 cup of Gulden's Spicy Brown Mustard
2 cups of dark brown sugar
2 cups of ginger snap cookies, crushed

Here's wha tyou need to do:

Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.

Remove ham from bag, rinse and drain thoroughly. Pat dry with paper towels. Place ham face down of a large piece of extra wide heavy duty tin foil. Mold the foil around the ham, covering the entire ham. Place face down on a large baking pan and heat for approximately 10 minutes per pound.

Unfold the foil from the ham but leave the ham on the foil.

Coat the outside of the ham with the mustard.

Use a food processor to crush the ginger snaps into fine crumbs. Mix together the brown sugar and ginger snaps. Press the ginger snap mixture into the mustard on the ham, packing on as much as possible.

At this point, you have two choices, you can bake it in a 350 degree F oven for about an hour until the crust becomes set or you can use a Culinary Torchto crisp the outside (this is my personal preference).

I hope you enjoy this baked ham recipe!
