Recipe For Baked Ham

Everyone loves a good crust and Mama's recipe for baked ham has a crust that will have folks fighting for the "crustiest" piece!

1 fully cooked spiral sliced ham
1/4 cup of Gulden's Spicey Brown Mustard
2 cups of dark brown sugar
2 cups of ginger snap cookies, crushed

Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.
Remove ham from bag, rinse and drain thoroughly. Pat dry with paper towels. Place ham face down of a large piece of extra wide heavy duty tin foil. Mold the foil around the ham, covering the entire ham. Place face down on a large baking pan and heat for approximately 10 minutes per pound.

Unfold the foil from the ham but leave the ham on the foil.

Coat the outside of the ham with the mustard.

Use a food processor to crush the ginger snaps into fine crumbs. Mix together the brown sugar and ginger snaps. Press the ginger snap mixture into the mustard on the ham, packing on as much as posssible.

At this point, you have two choices, you can bake it in a 350 degree F oven for about an hour until the crust becomes set or you can use a Culinary Torch to crisp the outside (this is my personal preference).

I hope you enjoy this baked ham recipe!
