Recipe For Cole Slaw

Looks and tastes a lot like what you get at Chick-Fil-A, Mama's recipe for cole slaw won't disappoint!

If you like slaw on your hot dogs, this a delicious recipe that I'm sure you'll enjoy...shoot, some folks even put it on their hamburgers!

cole slaw

Here's what you are going to need:

1 head of cabbage, finely chopped
1 small carrot, finely chopped
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 tablespoon pepper
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white vinegar

Here's what you need to do:

Finely chop the cabbage and carrots (I use a food processor for this)

In a large bowl, combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, and vinegar. Mix well. Stir in the cabbage and carrots. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Since this has mayonnaise in it, if you plan on having it for a picnic you will need to keep it cold. If it is going to be sitting our for awhile, take a large bowl and put ice in the bottom of it and then sit a smaller bowl (with your coleslaw in it) inside of the larger bowl.
